What we offer
Relate offer a range of counselling, from couples counselling (which we are renowned for) to counselling for young people, family therapy, bereavement, sexual therapy, anger management, mediation, stress or the many circumstantial issues such as loss of a loved one, redundancy, relationship breakdown and having a baby and the effects it has on your relationship. Most of these are done face-to-face with your counsellor, but in some circumstances telephone counselling is available as an alternative.
Relate are not just for married couples and we offer a range of counselling resources for any situation you may be facing. There is no judgment passed, and the therapeutic approach used is shaped to best suit you and your problems. We work with married couples, common law partnerships, same sex partnerships and individuals and family groups. We work with any age, sexuality or background and also work with private companies, health professionals and the local government.
When you first make contact, you can if you wish mention to our reception team that you would like to see a particular specialist (eg. anger management or stress); that way we can ensure you get to see the most appropriate therapist for your situation. Everything you tell us is in confidence, and any information you share with us with will never be divulged outside of the counselling session.
